Why This Wet & Cool Spring is a Double-Edged Sword for Your Bermuda Lawn

Tulsa weather always keeps us on our toes, and this spring is a prime example. With all the recent rain and cooler temperatures, your Bermuda grass may be staying dormant longer than expected — and that’s actually a good thing.
Cool, wet weather helps prevent Bermuda from waking up too early and getting damaged by a late cold snap. But while your grass is taking its time, weeds are waking up fast. These are the perfect conditions for early weed growth and development, and they’ll take over if not addressed quickly.
Earlier this week, I was walking through a Tulsa neighborhood and noticed something that made me shake my head. One of the large national lawn care companies was out spraying, but they were clearly missing large sections of grass. Same crews. Same rushed job. Same poor results.
At Premium Lawns, we do things differently. We’re local. We’re hands-on. And we treat every lawn like it’s our own. We take pride in walking properties, not just rushing through them, and giving each yard the attention it deserves.
We're also proud to announce our Premium Lawns Give Back program. At the end of each year, we’ll donate a portion of our profits to local charities and nonprofits — because we believe in giving back to the community that supports us.
It’s all part of our mission: making your neighborhood more beautiful, one lawn at a time.
